Dennis is survived by spouse Diane (Killian) Cobb, daughter Jennifer Bentley and son Bryan Cobb

Dennis was a Waukegan Police Patrolman for almost 30 years. He was an evidence technician, a training officer and a member of the Lake County Major Crime Scene Task Force. Upon retirement in 2005, Dennis became an Evidence Manager for about two years for the City of Waukegan.
